You will need to check if
your chosen web address (domain name) is already in use.
If it is not already in
use you should be able to register your name with 1&1 Internet.
( Costs from only £4.98
plus VAT for 2 years for a name ending in .co.uk , or £8.99 a year
for names ending .com for example.)
No need to buy any hosting
package yet. The basic domain registration package includes a one page
web site and email address. If you want more than one page, wait until
you have checked out the Microsoft Office Live Small Business offer below.
If you are not worried about
securing the name straight away or if you want to give it a bit more thought,
you can go straight to step 2 but when it comes to registering a name it
may be a little less expensive with 1&1 Internet and you can still
make your chosen name point to the web site you create with Microsoft Office
Live Small Business.
